The GEMS project (Global and regional Earth-system Monitoring using Satellite and in-situ data) is funded by the European Commission within the 6th Framework Program for Research and Development under the contract SIP4_CT-2004-516099.
The numerical data provided are outputs from several state-of-the-art chemistry and transport models and are representative for large scale phenomena; they cannot reproduce local aspects of air pollution. In order to know the precise situation in your area, please refer to your national or local Air Quality agency. The GEMS forecasts are experimental and should not be used for any policy-related or compliance checking purposes. They shall not be re-distributed unless a specific written permission has been obtained.
Please send any feedback regarding the data to aqgems@lists.ecmwf.int.
